Work Release / Sentence to Service (STS)
Sentencing to Service (STS) is a Department of Corrections (DOC) program that provides a sentencing alternative for non-violent offenders. The Work Release Program provides a structure transition period for offenders returning to the community with the intent of better preparing them for a successfull, crime-free life.

Referrals
Providing assistance with referrals for employment, housing, treatment (chemical dependency, mental health, gambling, and cognitive) programs. Provides referrals and coordination of assessment and treatment services for adults and juveniles in chemical dependence, mental health, and DWI court.

Permit to Purchase/Permit to Carry
Pennington County residents may apply for a permit to purchase or a permit to carry by submitting the respected application to the Law Enforcement Center. There is a $100 fee for processing a new permit to carry and $75 fee for a renewal. A permit is good for five years from the date of issuance. Whether your permit is a renewal or a first-time issue, you must take a BCA approved class within one year of the date of application and provide a copy to our office.
